Founded in 2004 by David Baxter and Colin Urie and headquartered in the small Scottish market town of Lanark, Revo is a specialist designer of digital audio devices. Driven by function and quality, our products blend the highest design principles with the latest digital audio technology, each designed to leave a lasting impression and to stand the test of time.

Small but perfectly formed, dedicated to our craft, and proudly independent, Revo is a pioneer in digital radio and audio streaming and the recipient of multiple international awards including Red Dot and iF product design awards.

Revo products are sold in over 20 countries around the world.

2004 – Revo is founded in Lanark, Scotland with the intention of developing what would be the world’s first add-on DAB digital radio receiver. Design and development work begins in March with the ambitious target of a Christmas launch.

2005 – The Revo In-Car DAB Adaptor is launched to great acclaim and receives the prestigious ‘Car Accessory of the Year’ award from Auto Express. “It’s a brilliant solution, and one that opens up new possibilities for in-car entertainment”.

2006 – The rechargeable Pico portable DAB radio – Revo’s first non-automotive radio product, is released. An instant success in markets around the world, a variety of different Pico models followed before the design was retired in 2013.

2007 – Pico Wi-Fi, our first internet radio product is launch, followed soon after by BLIK RadioStation, the world’s first combined ‘hybrid’ DAB and internet radio. Our ever popular Pico design wins a prestigious iF Product Design Award.

2008 – Revo receives its first Red Dot Product Design Award (for Pico) followed by a ‘Business Excellence Award’ from Scottish Enterprise for export success. Revo becomes an Apple MFi licencee and our first products are sold in the Apple Store.

2009 – We launch the world’s first colour touchscreen multi-format digital radio in the shape of our IKON model. Our iconic Heritage table radio is released to worldwide critical acclaim before going on to win our third Red Dot Product Design Award.

2010 – Revo launches the ground-breaking AXiS colour touchscreen radio to rave reviews. Revo enters the Asia Pacific market with a major launch event for the media in Hong Kong featuring our range-topping Heritage deluxe multi-format table radio.

2011 – Revo AXiS becomes part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh. Revo and Monocle magazine collaborate to produce a special Revo Heritage ‘Monocle Edition’ radio to compliment the launch of their M24 radio station.

2011 – Revo AXiS becomes the most acclaimed radio of the year after a host of glowing 5-star reviews covering publications from What Hi-Fi? to the Sunday Times. AXiS wins the ‘Radio Product of the Year’ accolade at the What Hi-Fi? Sound & Vision Awards in London, the AV industry’s most prestigious awards event.

2012 – AXiS XS wins Revo its second successive ‘Radio Product of the Year’ title at the prestigious What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision Awards. The Revo K2 multi-format tower radio collects our fifth straight Red Dot Product Design Award. A range of Revo products go on sale at MoMA stores in New York and Tokyo.

2013 – Revo introduces its acclaimed SuperConnect hybrid radio, the first radio product to feature Spotify’s new Connect feature. AXiS XS wins Revo a second Which ‘Best Buy’. After nearly 10 years, Revo unveils a confident new corporate identity that reflects the brand’s design and engineering focus.

2014 – SuperConnect is the world’s most celebrated radio with a string of 5-star reviews, a Red Dot Product Design award, the ‘Radio of the Year’ title in Scandinavia and a coveted What Hi-Fi? Award. Revo finds a home in luxe hotels such as ACE Hotel LA, Epiphany Palo Alto and the American Trade Hotel, Panama.

2015 – Our SuperSystem digital music system is launched and our radios go on sale at AT&T’s flagship store on Chicago’s North Michigan Ave. and provide the in-room soundtrack at the iconic, newly restored 241 room Chicago Athletic Association hotel in the city. Our UNDOK app and multiform feature is introduce.

2016 – Revo SuperSystem picks up a string of 5-star reviews and accolades, including a What Hi-Fi? Award for ‘Best One-Box System’. SuperConnect collects adds another What Hi-Fi? Award to its growing collection. Bizarrely Kim Kardashian includes our SuperSignal radio in her Kanye inspired Fathers Day Gift Guide.

2017 – Revo makes its CES Show debut in Las Vegas, previewing two new models and picking up a ‘Best of CES’ award. We celebrate Monocle magazine’s 10th birthday with a special anniversary edition of our SuperConnect model, and there’s What Hi-Fi? Award number 7 and 8 for Super System and SuperConnect.

2017 – The Revo brand is launched into the discerning South Korea electronics market through specialist audio distributor Delfin, with a launch event in Seoul. Two years in the making, we launch our long-awaited SuperTone deluxe wireless speaker and SuperCD one-box music system, just in time for Christmas.
